3-Rivers All Stars Babe Ruth Team Needs Financial Support
The Three Rivers All Star Babe Ruth team won the state championship on Sunday here in Grants Pass.

Three Rivers outscored the Umpqua Valley All Stars 12 to 2 in Saturday’s first game with Griffin DeKruger going three for four at the plate. Griffin singled in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings leading the team’s offense.

The South Coast All stars were Three Rivers next victim when the home team triumphed in a scoring fest 21 to 17 in Saturday’s 2nd game. This time it was Lawson O’Leary leading the offense with a single, triple and a home run.

Sunday’s championship game saw O’Leary again lead the team, this time with a dominant mound performance handing the Umpqua Valley All Stars their 2nd loss. The young right hander struck out 12 while allowing four hits and two runs and giving up five walks.

The Three Rivers team is headed to Alberta, Canada for the round two of the national championships next week and there is an urgent need for additional funds to make sure the team can make the trip. They have established a go fund me page for donations. To help go to https://gofund.me/12d17e84
