The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has issued a Level 1: Be Ready to evacuate for two Jackson County zones.
The Hilt Fire, taking place on Colestin Road south of Ashland on the Oregon/California Border was first reported on the Watch Duty app at 10:57 a.m. Officers issued a Level 1: Be Ready to Evacuate for Zones JAC-564 and JAC-566 west of I-5.
According to Watch Duty, tankers have been released per Air Attack and a dozer line has been completed around the fire. The blaze was estimated by the Oregon Department of Forestry to be around 15 to 20 acres.
