GP Police Snared Man for Bad Behavior at Store & Assaulting Arresting Officer
Grants Pass Police arrested a man for bad behavior at a local convenience store last night followed by an assault on a responding officer.
According to the Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance at A-1 Market & Deli on SW G Street on Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m..
Police said a 40-year-old male subject was causing public alarm due to his behavior at the store. He was informed that he was under arrest and during the custody process, he physically resisted and kicked an officer.
There was no word on how badly the officer was hurt.
The suspect was eventually subdued, arrested and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Felony Assault on a Public Safety Officer, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. He was also trespassed from A-1 Market & Deli.
